Treasures of Colonial Guatemala

5 Days

Discover Guatemala’s colonial treasures in this fully escorted 5 day 4 night tour.

Enjoy a guided tour of Antigua, the most beautiful colonial city in Guatemala. Antigua is the former capital of the country, hence, the reason for the name Antigua. Its colonial architecture, colorful houses with red tile rooftops, and cobblestone streets has given Antigua its charm and picturesque character. This unique and colorful city was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979.

Your adventure also explores the breathtaking beauty of Panajachel and the volcano guarded Atitlan Lake. In Panajachel, you will head by small boat to explore two lakefront villages and discover their Mayan traditions (most inhabitants of these two towns are Mayan). Learn about Mayan handcrafts and ceremonial traditions at the Chichicastenango Market.
